01 / The challenge
Can you save a teacher an hour a week and help a child keep up?
Every class has mixed ages, languages and needs. Pick one classroom job — practice, registers, messages home — and design it with a teacher.

These are example challenges. You can also bring your own problem within this track. Aim for one complete user journey across the three-day build.
EDU-01Practice at the learner’s pace
The challenge
Build a short practice activity that adjusts to a learner’s progress and gives the teacher a useful view of what needs attention.
Show in your demo
Show two learners taking different paths through the same topic, then show the teacher checking and changing the next activity.
Start with
Use a small set of teacher-reviewed exercises and fictional learner profiles. Choose one topic and one age range.
EDU-02A clearer picture of the class
The challenge
Help a teacher record attendance or progress and share an appropriate update with a parent.
Show in your demo
Complete a class record, correct a mistake and send a simulated parent update. Show which information each person can see.
Start with
Create a fictional class register and a weekly teaching plan. Ask a teacher which repeated task takes the most time.
EDU-03Learning more families can access
The challenge
Adapt one learning activity or school-to-home message for a specific language, literacy or additional support need.
Show in your demo
Show the original barrier, the adapted journey and how a teacher reviews the result. Explain how you would test it with the intended users.
Start with
Choose one example lesson or message. Build for one clearly described access need, using public or permissioned material.
03 / What to demonstrate
Make the improvement visible.
Your demo should show a working journey, who it helps and the evidence behind your decisions. For this track, useful evidence includes:
- A teacher can understand and act on learner progress.
- A learner or parent can complete the task with less support.
- The approach fits a realistic class and teaching routine.
These are examples of evidence, not extra scoring categories. Every entry uses the same published judging criteria.
Use fictional learner profiles. Let teachers review learning content and feedback. Show how access, parent communication and any safeguarding concern would be handled by authorised adults.
04 / Prepare & stay informed
Start with people and a small dataset.
Talk to someone who does the task, map the current steps and agree what improvement would matter. If you cannot speak to a practitioner, state your assumptions and explain how you would test them.
The examples above suggest material you can prepare yourself. Use fictional records, public information or material you have permission to use. Event datasets, named mentors and partner tools are still to be confirmed.
