Can you save a scholar an evening of digging, without cutting corners?
A lesson, a tricky question, a signpost to help — each needs trusted sources fast. Build one helper that shows its workings and leaves decisions to people.
Choose this track for people already practising in a professional role. Classroom learning fits Madrassah Next; entry into work and placements fit Seminary to Society; welfare case administration fits AmanahTech.

These are example challenges. You can also bring your own problem within this track. Aim for one complete user journey across the three-day build.
IMM-01Research with sources you can check
The challenge
Help a scholar search a small, clearly defined collection and organise references for a lesson or research question.
Show in your demo
Open the source behind a result, verify the passage in context and show what happens when the collection cannot answer a question.
Start with
Use a small public-domain or permissioned collection. Keep author, edition, page and language information with each source.
IMM-02Make professional learning visible
The challenge
Help a practitioner set a development goal, record learning and discuss progress with a mentor.
Show in your demo
Create a goal, attach evidence and show a mentor reviewing it. Make completed activities distinct from verified competencies.
Start with
Create a fictional professional profile and a short list of learning activities. Ask a practitioner how they currently reflect on development.
IMM-03Find the right referral
The challenge
Help a community professional find a relevant support service and prepare a clear next step with the person seeking help.
Show in your demo
Find a service for a fictional situation, check eligibility and contact details, and show the professional confirming the referral.
Start with
Use public service listings with source links and review dates. Build a directory and handover flow that does not diagnose or decide for the user.
03 / What to demonstrate
Make the improvement visible.
Your demo should show a working journey, who it helps and the evidence behind your decisions. For this track, useful evidence includes:
- A professional can check where information came from.
- The tool makes uncertainty and the next human decision clear.
- A focused task takes less time without losing professional oversight.
These are examples of evidence, not extra scoring categories. Every entry uses the same published judging criteria.
Research tools must show sources and limitations. Keep religious rulings, clinical judgements and sensitive care decisions with qualified professionals. Use fictional examples for private conversations.
04 / Prepare & stay informed
Start with people and a small dataset.
Talk to someone who does the task, map the current steps and agree what improvement would matter. If you cannot speak to a practitioner, state your assumptions and explain how you would test them.
The examples above suggest material you can prepare yourself. Use fictional records, public information or material you have permission to use. Event datasets, named mentors and partner tools are still to be confirmed.
